‘I took the decision to add a puppy into my home very seriously, and I feel very fortunate to have been in the right place at the right time to meet the Voelk family. After a phone call with Jenn, I knew they were the right fit for me. I wanted a puppy raised by a family, whose dogs are part of their family and raised with all the love in the world. They understand how valuable and integral the first 8 weeks of life are in building a ‘bombproof’ pup, and they put in all the effort to make sure Ellie was ready to transition to her forever home.  She has been easy to train, smart as a whip and loved by all. My goal has always been to have that dog that everyone enjoys being around and that definitely is Ellie. I am frequently stopped by people who ask where I got her from, as they are impressed by her manners, demeanor and discipline for only 9 months of age (and of course for how cute she is). She is filled with love, spunk and a bit of sass, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. The Voelk’s have made my puppy experience extra special and have welcomed me with open arms into their extended fur family. I am so lucky and happy to have welcomed Ellie into my home!’

I first met The Voelks in 2018, I was their dog groomer, and could see right away how they truly loved their dogs. After watching them say good buy to a few members who crossed the rainbow bridge, I also got to watch them get a few new additions. This is the bitter sweet part of my job. I could sense the family was a bit different when they had a puppy who needed to be exposed to grooming but was on a delayed vaccination schedule / a senior who wasn’t doing terribly well ... Jenn called and I agreed to a home visit ( not my normal ) I sanitized all my stuff and headed over. I was welcomed into their home, they helped, asked questions, and they made me lunch. Fast forward 4 years and I have a “ Voelk “ puppy sleeping on my lap.  I got to watch them grow their pack, and watch the unique / beautiful / smart / sassy relationship they have their with dogs, and the relationship their pack has with each other. Their follow thru with training and holding their dogs to the expectations of “ I know you got this “ when learning new tasks. Their pack is comfortable / confident and always good for a hard snuggle everyone of them. Choosing a dog to bring home for me as someone who works with them everyday, is a hard task, after my senior Border Collie Jake passed away I knew that a Voelk puppy would be a beautiful addition to my family. I got to watch them adapt to having a mamma in the house ( she’s queen and gets what she wants ) in the most beautiful way of course. Watching the Voelks introduce tiny doodles into the world is a beautiful / magical / messy / snuggly / loud few weeks full of coffee and adventures. The tiny doodles who are raised and grown in a household where puppyhood is fully embraced / nurtured and guided, have a solid standing point for you as a dog owner to have a very successful dog / human relationship. With the whole family being apart of the dogs training, they all know what the puppies need, sometimes it’s snuggles : sometimes it’s waiting till they are quiet to be picked up ... love and boundaries is what I believe makes for a great well balanced dog.

That is a Voelk puppy.

We loved Genie, his litter, his parents and the Voelk family from the first moment we found their website. We are located in Ontario, and at the time we discovered the Saskadoodle Companion Dogs, we already had 2 very sour experiences with local breeders.

When I found out this website, I knew I will do whatever I could to  become the very lucky and blessed pawrent of one of their gorgeous puppies. Not only were they extremly beautiful puppies, but their Parents went through thorough genetical testing, had wonderful personality traits, and the Voelk family was going above and beyond to ensure the puppies have a great start in life.

After connecting with Jenn, I was more sure than ever that a puppy (any puppy) from her would be the best fit for our family. Although at the time they had more applications than puppies, I had a feeling in my heart that there was no way I would not end up being a Saskadoodle Companion Mommy. Jenn took a lot of time to review applications, to post daily updates, to work with the puppies and desensitized them of as many things she Could think of - from car rides, to getting them used to people in uniform, or with people wearing sun glasses, to getting the puppies used to firework sounds she did everything she could to ensure we get wonderful fur babies.

We did not pick our puppy, but we fully trusted Jenn and the personality test they did for the puppies and we did end up with the puppy who was the best for our family.

My flight to pick-up Genie (we did not change his name - we simply loved everything about him and thought he was PERFECT in every way) was the most exciting flight ever. I could not wait to hold him in my arms! Jenn and Nik came to the airport with Genie and his father Osi - it was such an emotional get together. Jenn and her family are just wonderful as people, as friends, as pet owners, as breeders - they are everything you see and way more than that.

After picking up Genie, I had a lot of questions (as a first time pawrent), and Jenn has been with me all the way, anytime I would need her advise, her encouragement that I was doing the right thing, or simply her energetic company, she was always there, a click away - and she is GREAT.

Genie is now 1 year old, and he is the greatest puppy I could have ever asked for - loving, goofy, smart, and so, so good. He has never chewed on anything he was not supposed to, he is great with our 3 daughters, and I really can’t think of a time he did anything bad because he truly is such a great boy.

There is not 1 day when I don’t think of the Voelk family and thank them in my heart for the wonderful way they changed our life for the better when they decided to make us part of the Saskadoodle Companion Dogs!

Thank you so much Jenn and Nik!!! ❤️
