Why do so many doodles fade? Well, there is a gene in the poodle line that has yet to be identified.  Some poodles fade while others don't. We would love to be able to get rid of the fading but the reality is that until scientists can locate the gene that causes it we can not test for it As you can see from the pictures below Synari has changed a lot from her puppy pictures, and to me she is just as beautiful as the day I picked her up. This is why we feel that temperament and personality should trump what the puppy looks like.
